This is the pick if whey leaves you bloated but you still want a proper chocolate shake after a session. It carries the lowest carbohydrate of the four at 14g a serve, and 250mg of sodium, which sits in the middle of the range.
Protein on its own rebuilds. It does nothing about what the session drained. This does both.
Pea protein and real alkalised cocoa. A proper chocolate shake with no dairy anywhere in it.
The best seller across the whole protein range, and it is the plant based one.
Fourteen grams a serve. The others sit between 16g and 18g.

“UCAN is a game-changer for energy and recovery. I wasn’t worried about rescuing my body from a crash, instead I had consistent energy levels that allowed me to focus on running, not fueling. Being able to have energy without sugar really made a big difference for me, especially later in my career.”
Meb Keflezighi, 4x US Olympian, Boston and NYC Marathon Winner
I have been using the UCAN chocolate protein drink in the morning for years. It is the best!!! It sustains me until lunch and it tastes amazing compared to all the other protein powders on the market!
I love this protein powder! I mix it with chocolate almond milk every day for breakfast, post run, and it keeps me full until lunch. It’s plant-based, rather than whey, so it doesn’t upset my stomach.
Good taste & I use 15min’s after my morning run to help me recover.
Very smooth, not chalky at all. With water or oatmilk both taste great!
Good sustained energy for a long base run!
The perfect “snack” after a long run to refuel you until after you shower.
No chalky aftertaste. Smooth. And actually tasty 🙂
Best testing protein I have ever had. Incredible for a plant based protein powder.
Love this! Great flavor, not chalky, great to add to a breakfast shake.
Have been using the protein drink post run. Great taste and a great recovery tool.
Super smooth protein powder, with long lasting fullness.
I use it as part of my breakfast before long runs.

LIVSTEADY is a complex carbohydrate made from non-GMO corn starch through a patented cooking process. The molecule is large and breaks apart slowly, so the carbohydrate arrives over a long stretch rather than all at once.
Plain protein handles the rebuild and does nothing about what the session drained. Pairing it with LIVSTEADY covers the refuel in the same glass, so you are not chasing a second thing twenty minutes later.
It is the same carbohydrate in our Edge energy gels and Energy Powder. Read more on what LIVSTEADY is.
The full stack
All four run on LIVSTEADY. Powder before the start, gels on course, protein after you stop.

How to use it
Two scoops, 50g, in 350ml of water or plant milk. It mixes clean in water, so milk is optional.
The window most runners care about. Protein for the rebuild, LIVSTEADY to put back what the session took, and far easier to get down than solid food when you have just stopped.
Twenty grams of protein and steady carbohydrate holds through a morning better than toast does. Blend it with a banana if you want it to eat like a meal.
Doubling up in one day, or racing tomorrow. This is the shake that gets you to the second session without arriving empty.

Yes. It is made with pea protein and contains no dairy ingredients. It is manufactured in a facility that also processes milk, soy, egg, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts.
Twenty grams a serve, which is two scoops of 50g. The same as Vanilla. Cookies and Cream carries 23g and Cocoa 19g, but both of those are whey.
Chocolate is pea protein and dairy free, and tastes closer to a standard chocolate shake. Cocoa is whey protein and runs darker and less sweet. Chocolate also carries more sodium, 250mg against 140mg.
Yes. It is the only product in the UCAN Australia range that does, and it sits well down the ingredient list. If you would rather avoid it entirely, Vanilla is the other plant based option and contains none.
Yes, erythritol alongside steviol glycosides. If polyols bother your stomach, Vanilla is sweetened with stevia leaf alone.
Twelve. The pack holds 600g at two scoops of 50g a serve, which works out at about $9.08 a shake.
