The electrolytes in UCAN Hydrate have made it easy and tasty for me to replace not only salts but other essential electrolytes lost while running.

Pineapple Hydrate Electrolyte Drink Jar (30)
$54.90
Replace the electrolytes you lose in sweat, without the sugar.
UCAN Pineapple Hydrate is a sugar-free electrolyte drink mix formulated by an Olympic dietitian. Each 3g serve delivers 330mg of sodium, 150mg of chloride, 100mg of potassium, 50mg of magnesium and 20mg of calcium, with no sugar, no kilojoules and no artificial sweeteners.
Pineapple carries the highest sodium in the range and the most pronounced flavour, which suits athletes who find lighter electrolyte powders hard to taste. Mix one scoop with 500ml of water before, during or after training. 30 serves per jar.

Why Athletes Choose UCAN Hydrate
Five electrolytes. No carbohydrate. Nothing that touches your fuelling plan.
300mg Sodium Per Serve
One scoop into 500ml. Published guidance for endurance work sits at 300 to 600mg of sodium per hour, so one scoop an hour puts you at the bottom of that range and two puts you at the top. You dose it, rather than the label deciding for you
Twice the Magnesium
50mg per serve, roughly double what most electrolyte powders carry and about 16% of the Australian recommended dietary intake. Magnesium is the mineral sports drinks leave out entirely.
Nothing to Count
Zero carbohydrate, zero sugar, zero kilojoules. Drink as much as the session asks for without recalculating anything, and take your fuel separately through gels or powder.

Work Out Your Own Numbers
The internet argues about 1,000mg an hour. Most published guidance does not. Put your session in below and see what you actually need, then work out how many packets that is.
How much sodium do you actually need?
Most guidance lands on 300 to 600mg of sodium per hour, not the 1,000mg the internet argues about. Work out your session below.

UCAN Hydrate
3 scoops
300mg sodium each
Mix 3 scoops across 950ml of water and sip every 10 minutes rather than drinking large volumes at once.
A starting point, not a prescription. Sweat rate and sweat concentration vary a lot between people and change with heat, humidity and altitude. Adjust from here based on how you feel across a few sessions. If you are already using UCAN Edge + Electrolyte gels, each one adds 200mg of sodium, so count those in.
Sodium in the bottle, or sodium in the gel?
That is the whole decision. Carry a bottle and put the sodium in it, or carry gels that already contain sodium and drink plain water from the fountains. Everything below follows from that.

Three setups that actually work
Based on 300 to 600mg of sodium per hour, which is where most published guidance sits.
60 TO 90 MINUTES
The bottle setup
One scoop of Hydrate in 500ml, sipped through. One Edge gel at the 45 minute mark.
500mg sodium · 20g carbs · 500ml
MARATHON, 3 TO 4 HOURS
The full plan
Energy Powder 30 minutes before. Two scoops of Hydrate across the bottles. One Edge + Electrolyte gel every 45 minutes.
1,400mg sodium · 122g carbs · 1.5L
NO BOTTLE
Fountains only
Edge + Electrolyte gels every 45 minutes, plain water from the fountains. Nothing to carry but gels.
267mg sodium per hour · 27g carbs per hour
Starting points, not prescriptions. Sweat rate and sweat concentration vary between people and change with heat, humidity and altitude. Work out your own numbers with the calculator above.

My new favorite hydration, goes down easy and I drank it all the way through my ironman without getting the usual “over it” and have to stop drinking.

This is one of my favorite flavors of the hydrate (watermelon). I like to mix it with the unflavored energy powder and take it before long runs. So good!

Electrolyte Drinks: Common Questions
How much sodium is in UCAN Hydrate?
300mg of sodium per serve in the jar and 300mg in the single-serve packets. Mixed with 500ml of water as directed, that works out to 600mg of sodium per litre of finished drink. That is higher than a standard sports drink and lower than a salt-forward hydration mix, which is the right place to sit if your carbohydrate is already coming from gels.
Which electrolytes are in UCAN Hydrate?
Five. Per serve you get 300mg of sodium, 150mg of chloride, 100mg of potassium, 50mg of magnesium and 15mg of calcium. Those are the minerals you lose through sweat, replaced in roughly the proportions you lose them.
Is UCAN Hydrate a zero calorie electrolyte drink?
Yes. Each 3g serve contains 0 kilojoules and 0 grams of sugar. The electrolytes are mineral salts and carry no energy, and it is sweetened with stevia. A litre of standard sports drink carries roughly 850 to 1,000 kilojoules by comparison, so if you are already taking gels there is nothing here to work around.
Does UCAN Hydrate contain artificial sweeteners?
No. UCAN Hydrate is sweetened with stevia extract, specifically Rebaudioside A. There is no sucralose, no acesulfame potassium, no aspartame and no artificial colours. The full ingredient list is sodium citrate, citric acid, magnesium phosphate, natural flavours, potassium citrate, salt, stevia extract and tricalcium phosphate.
What flavours does UCAN Hydrate come in?
UCAN Hydrate is available in Berry, Lemon-Lime, Watermelon and Pineapple. Each flavour comes as a 30-serve jar or 12-pack sachets. Not sure where to start? Try the Variety Pack and taste all 4 before committing to a full jar.
How do I mix UCAN Hydrate electrolyte powder?
One scoop or one packet into 500ml of water, then shake well. Take one serve every one to two hours before, during or after exercise. On rest days, one serve works as an everyday hydration drink.
Where does UCAN Australia ship from?
Every order ships from our warehouse in Dandenong South, Victoria. No international transit, no customs and no import duty. We ship to every state and territory, with free shipping on orders over $220 and express available on orders placed before 12pm.
Can I use UCAN Hydrate with UCAN Edge energy gels?
Yes, and that is the usual setup for long sessions. Hydrate covers fluid and electrolytes with no carbohydrate at all, so you control your fuelling separately through Edge gels or Energy Powder. Nothing overlaps and nothing has to be recalculated.
How is UCAN Hydrate different from a sports drink?
A standard sports drink carries 50 to 60 grams of sugar per litre because it is trying to be your fuel and your fluid at once. UCAN Hydrate carries none. It sits above a sports drink on sodium per litre, adds magnesium and calcium that sports drinks leave out, and lets you drink as much as you need without changing your fuelling plan.
