The only caffeine gel that does not come with a sugar hit.
Most caffeine gels pair the caffeine with a heavy dose of sugar, so the mental lift arrives with gut trouble and a slump 20km later. Mixed Berry Edge + Caffeine pairs 45mg of caffeine with LIVSTEADY, a slow-releasing carbohydrate that fuels you steadily for 75+ minutes. Sharp focus and lasting energy from one pouch, with zero sugar.
45mg is about half a regular coffee. Sharp mixed berry flavour that cuts through fatigue when nothing else tastes right. Strong enough to lift you when concentration fades, low enough to repeat every 60 to 75 minutes across a marathon or a long ride without overloading on caffeine. Thin liquid texture, no water needed. Box of 12 pouches.

45mg of caffeine, about half a regular coffee. Enough to sharpen focus late in the race, low enough to repeat without feeling rattled at the finish.
Traditional caffeine gels stack caffeine on top of a sugar spike, so you crash twice. LIVSTEADY releases energy gradually over 75 minutes, so the lift is clean and the finish is strong.
Most runners carry caffeine separately as a tablet or a chew, which means one more thing to open, time and get wrong at 30km. This puts the caffeine inside the fuel you were already taking. One pouch, one action.

Many athletes combine all four: powder before the start, plain Edge early, electrolyte when it heats up, caffeine gel late in the race. Values vary by flavour, so check the label on the pack you buy.
LIVSTEADY is a slow-releasing carbohydrate made from non-GMO corn, hydrothermally cooked without chemicals or enzymes. Instead of a rapid hit of sugar, it breaks down gradually and delivers energy across 75+ minutes from a single pouch.
The caffeine comes from green tea extract. Because the carbohydrate underneath it releases steadily, the lift in focus lands on top of consistent energy rather than a sugar surge that fades before the finish.
45mg is a deliberate dose. Low enough to take twice, high enough to matter when it counts.
Take a plain or electrolyte Edge gel 30 minutes before the gun and again in the first hour. Hold Mixed Berry back. Caffeine taken early has faded by the time you actually need it.
One pouch at 21km, another around 32km if you want a second lift. 45mg each, so two pouches sit near a single strong coffee. No water needed, the texture is thin enough to swallow at pace.
Run the exact sequence on two long runs before you race it. A box of 12 covers three or four races once you know your pattern. Early start? Bring it forward and take the first one before the gun.
Watch your total. Count what you drink before the start. Two pouches plus a pre-race coffee puts you near 200mg for the morning, which is where most runners start feeling it in the stomach rather than the legs.

Each pouch contains 45mg of caffeine from green tea extract, about half a regular coffee. The dose is designed to be repeated during long events, so you stay in control of your total caffeine across the day.
Two common approaches. For early starts, take one pouch 15 to 30 minutes before the gun. Otherwise save the caffeine for the back half, from around 21km when concentration starts to fade, then one every 60 to 75 minutes as needed. Test your timing on a long training run first. Most runners take two to four of these across a marathon and save them for the back half, running plain or electrolyte Edge before that. A box of 12 is three or four races, not one.
Yes, it contains 0g of sugar. The energy comes from LIVSTEADY, a slow-releasing carbohydrate made from non-GMO corn that delivers steady fuel across 75+ minutes per pouch.
No. The gel has a thin liquid texture and can be taken on its own, which is useful between aid stations. Concentrated sugar gels usually need water to be absorbed comfortably.
Yes. Mixed Berry is the only Edge flavour with caffeine. All other Edge and Edge + Electrolyte flavours are caffeine free, which makes them the right choice for afternoon sessions or athletes sensitive to caffeine.
Yes, and most athletes do. A common marathon pattern is a plain or electrolyte Edge gel early in the race, then Mixed Berry + Caffeine from halfway when the mental lift counts most.
