UCAN’s best selling gel worldwide. 75+ minutes of steady energy in fresh strawberry banana.
Most gels dump sugar into your system, give you 20 good minutes, then leave you flat. Strawberry Banana Edge works differently. Powered by LIVSTEADY, it releases energy gradually over 75+ minutes with zero sugar and zero caffeine, so you hold your pace instead of riding a spike and crash.
The smooth, pre-mixed texture goes down easily when solid food will not, and it stays gentle on the stomach deep into a marathon or long ride. Fresh fruit taste that you can still face at kilometre 35, when every sweet gel has started to feel like punishment.

The best seller in the UCAN range, built for the back half of your race.
Sugar gels are the number one cause of mid-race gut trouble. Edge digests slowly and smoothly, so the bloating and cramping that ruin the last 10km never get started. Your stomach stays quiet while your legs do the work.
LIVSTEADY releases energy gradually over 75+ minutes with zero sugar and zero caffeine. One pouch 30 minutes before you start, then one an hour as needed. Steady output from the gun to the finish line, without the spike and fade of sugar gels.
Strawberry Banana is the most reordered Edge flavour worldwide. Fresh fruit taste, smooth pre-mixed texture, and no cloying sweetness. Athletes who rotate through the range keep coming back to this one on race day.
Same LIVSTEADY engine in all of them. The difference is caffeine, sodium and how much you commit to up front.
Long runs, tempo sessions and cool-weather racing. The original formula, caffeine free. Strawberry Banana is the best seller.

“I have used UCAN my entire marathon career. Dialling in my nutrition has been a key part of my longevity in the sport. There is no other product like UCAN that delivers sustained energy without the sugar crash. It sits well in my stomach and is not thick or sticky like other gels.”

Love the taste, so refreshing! I just switched from another popular brand… I haven't had any gut bombs yet with this! So far so good!
First running gel that I've tried and was not disappointed! Tasted pretty good and agreed really well with my stomach which usually has issues while I run.
Great taste, easy to digest, easy to consume. Lasted through my Ironman!
Love these gels! Enough energy and perfect consistency. Easy on the stomach!
I never go out riding my bicycles unless I have a pouch of ucan, halfway my ride I take it and I finish my rides strong.
The flavor is great. I appreciate the added electrolytes. And all UCAN gels I have had go down easily, though these have become my favorite.
Fueled my run with just the right amount of "boost" needed to complete my run efficiently. And loved that it didn't nausiate me…
honestly, a little more chalky than i expected BUT easy on the stomach so worth it

If gels wreck your stomach, the gel is rarely the problem. The volume of sugar is. A standard 19 to 24 g sugar gel taken three times an hour drags water into your intestine at exactly the moment your body has diverted blood away from digestion.
Edge carries no sugar at all. The low osmolality of LIVSTEADY means less fluid gets pulled into the gut, which is why athletes who gave up on gels come back to this one. Start with a single sachet on a long run at race pace, and only take it to a race once you have proven it twice in training.

Where Edge is not the right gel
If your race plan calls for 90 g or more of carbohydrate an hour, Edge on its own will not get you there. At 19 g a pouch it is a steady baseline, not a high-carb protocol. Athletes chasing those numbers pair Edge with UCAN Energy Powder in the bottle. We would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong fuel.
Competitor figures are taken from each brand's published product information, current as at August 2026, and are provided for general comparison only. No. Zero grams of sugar. The carbohydrate comes from LIVSTEADY, a slow-releasing corn starch, and the sweetness comes from allulose. That is why the energy arrives gradually across 75+ minutes rather than all at once.
No. Strawberry Banana Edge is caffeine free, which makes it the right choice for early race fuelling and for afternoon or evening sessions. If you want caffeine later in a long effort, Mixed Berry Edge + Caffeine carries 45mg on the same LIVSTEADY base.
Yes. Edge uses high molecular weight, low osmolality carbohydrate, so it clears the stomach quickly instead of drawing water into the gut the way concentrated sugar gels do. Runners who cannot keep sugary gels down tend to prefer it.
Yes, and most athletes do. A common marathon pattern is plain Edge early, Edge + Electrolyte once the heat comes up, then Mixed Berry + Caffeine from halfway when the mental lift counts most. Same carbohydrate base throughout, so your stomach never has to switch fuels.
